"And I apologize for hiding behind a screen name I created as a joke back when we wereall making fun of changing screen names." - GOP

I did not and will never post here under an alias. We know GOP did....that is now in the past. We know smi2les did and he's copped to his many idetities....

What I want to know is.....who else? Even for just 1 post, perhaps as a joke, may have used an alternate name???

Please be honest. Now is the time.

mea culpa guv
once I was Jerbert Garter, a fiendishly cunning composite of Jerry Hunter and Robert Garcia, two of the baddest badasses west of the rio grande, until I metamorphosed (overdosed on morphine)...and now for something completely different...for santa rising...by freaked-out ethel...hope she doesn't mind me reproducing it here...
I wish I was a catfish at the bottom of the sea.
I'd throw a great-huge party and we'd dance around like me.
I'd buy a lot of bourbon and we'd all drink like, uhmm, catfish.
I'd dress up like a sailor 'cause I have that kind of, uhmm, fetish.

I'd drive a fancy catfish car and toss the soft-top down.
I'd honk the horn that played "The Night They Drove Ol' Dixie Down".
I'd rev the engine, spin the tires, do anything I can.
To piss off all my neighbors sitting on their sardine cans.

I'd fly my catfish airplane and as soon as I flew in.
I'd affect a Brooklyn-Italian-catfish accent and say, "How YOU doin'?"
I'll find some lovin', in the sea there ain't much searchin'.
I love to hug the octopi but not so much sea-urchins.

Oh I wish I was a catfish at the bottom of the ocean.
I could take off all my scales and be nude if I'd the notion.
I wouldn't have to cook this stew or look at mean ol' nurses.
I would never lose my keys or have to wonder where my purse is.

Considered changing my name so it's not so close to the actual, but haven't since you know me as wineland. Keeps it easy for everyone, including myself.

THAT'S the difference between us. I am afraid. Very afraid.

Hey--what's up? posting numbers are way down, my friend...? See, I can count.

Seriously, though, hope that you will send some rain this way...we don't like setting the record for days over 110F you know, just cause Al Gore said we would...

Summer here has been dismal. Shame we can't average out our meteorological experiences.

Stay well, good Tell.

I used to have another name but changed it because some one else's name was allmost identical. But I announced it publically. I'm glad I changed it because the other one was dumb. I'm not all that creative plus it's hard to come up with anything with the name John in it that isn't already taken.

So to make I long story longer - no. I have no problem saying whatever I want, I don't feel the need for another alias.

I won't take all that they hand me down,
And make out a smile, though I wear a frown,
And I won't take it all lying down,
'Cause once I get started I go to town.

'Cause I'm not like everybody else,
I'm not like everybody else,
I'm not like everybody else,
I'm not like everybody else.

And I don't want to ball about like everybody else,
And I don't want to live my life like everybody else,
And I won't say that I feel fine like everybody else,
'Cause I'm not like everybody else,
I'm not like everybody else.

Like everybody else,
Like everybody else,
Like everybody else,
Like everybody else.

If you all want me to settle down,
Slow up and stop all my running 'round,
Do everything like you want me to,
There's one thing that I will say to you,
I'm not like everybody else,
I'm not like everybody else.

I've logged in as "Dire," "High Flow," and a handful of others for fun at times...

Used the trick smi2les talked about by inserting uppercase "i" for the "l."

Great fun, but you can only do it for some names...

JK; maybe.

From a different computer I once posted as Devlin Deboree (someone has got to figure out where I got that handle easily enough)because I couldn't remember my login password to sign in. Don't think I did anything bad posting as Devlin that night, but it's not like this devil is without sin.

Smi2les and I are not the same poster.

All the names that I copped to yesterday were the ones I used. Smi2les usually posted without a capital 's'. When I posted as Smi2les, I used a captial 'S'.
Besides, I thought my handles were much more clever than any smi2les ever came up with.
Not to mention my coherent sentences should have thrown the syntax detectives into a frenzy.

Peace.

Come on, you know my stage names of Diresflacidpenis and
El Senior Limpio were hilarious. Those names were such a set up for all the other posters to bash on. Damn funny it was.

Yeah, the mods locked me out of Laugh Riot and Uncle Hulka. I was posting as Rich and Cliff on that night and I guess that is the one thing they don't like. Sure as shit you can't get blocked for anything else. Rich is proof of that, have you read his poetry? Just kidding. Just kidding.

Thanks for being a sport cliff, u 2ucker u.

ps. this disco puts me at a tank behind the van.

i was direwolf2002 or 3 or 4 for a very short time (as well as 0701) - but that was only due to a password issue and was several years ago.

Diana fixed my problem, and i have been the annoying direwolf0701 consistently ever since

In this season of purgation, I guess it's time for me to cop to having pioneered the trick smi2les, with capital i in place of l--including the notorious "I am a complete idiot" post:

http://www.archive.org/iathreads/post-view.php?id=116166

Sorry, lunk2head, I just couldn't resist the opportunity to tweak a total tool.

So you did so too Tell? Very cool!

That is hilarious. I remember that, that was some extremely funny stuff. Especially when the real smiles logs in and says he's been away all day. That shit was true classic.

I did the same thing with the capital 'i' for the 'l'
When I did it, it gave me every post smi2les had ever done. That freaked me out a bit I must say. Fucking hilarious.
